This policy explains how Looloo Technology Co., Ltd. (“Essly”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our college application writing service at essly.ai.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: Google account identifier, name, email address and email-verification status. Google handles your password; we do not receive it. Our sign-in requests basic identity information, not access to Gmail, contacts or Google Drive. Earlier accounts may also have linked ChatGPT account identifiers.
- Your writing: interview answers, stories, imported draft text, college and program choices, outlines, drafts, feedback, selected versions and submission-history records you save.
- Invitations and purchases: invited email addresses, invitation delivery and signup status, and payment identifiers and status when payments are enabled. Stripe handles card details; Essly does not store full card numbers.
- Technical information: authentication cookies, browser recovery data, preferences, and service/error records. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses and device or browser information to operate and secure their services.
2. Why we use information
We use this information to sign you in, save and restore your work, provide personalized counseling and writing feedback, generate and revise drafts, deliver invitations, administer purchases, respond to support requests, and prevent misuse. Where applicable, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, legal obligations, or consent where required. If you do not provide information needed for a feature, that feature may not work.
3. AI processing and service providers
When you use AI features, relevant writing, answers, prompts and application context are sent to OpenAI for processing. Newly generated drafts are also sent to WriteHuman for rewriting before they are displayed. Include only information you are comfortable having processed for these purposes; avoid unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other people.
We use Google for sign-in, OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare, to run and store the service, Resend to send invitation emails, and Stripe for payments when enabled. These providers process data under their applicable terms and policies. Provider retention and training practices may differ; this policy does not promise zero retention or that every provider excludes all submitted data from training.
We do not sell your personal information or publish your essays as part of the service. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. Service providers may process information outside your country, including outside Thailand.
4. Invitations and visibility
If someone invites you, we receive your email address from that person and use it to send the invitation and recognize your signup. The inviter can see the invited address, invitation status and whether and when you joined. They cannot see your essays through the invitation dashboard. You can ignore an unexpected invitation or ask us to remove its record.
5. Cookies, storage and retention
We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, guest sessions, preferences and recovery of unsaved writing. Guest access currently expires after seven days; expiry of access does not itself mean all related server records have been deleted. Signed-in work and saved versions are retained to let you return to your applications.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and fulfill the purposes above, including security, dispute handling and legal recordkeeping. You can request deletion by email. Some information may need to remain for legal or security reasons, and provider logs or backups may persist under their retention policies. Clearing browser storage or disconnecting Google does not automatically delete saved Essly records.
6. Your choices and rights
Contact support@essly.ai to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of your information or account, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority. We may verify your identity before acting. You can also revoke Google access in your Google Account settings.
7. Young users and security
Essly is intended for college applicants, not children under 13. If you are a minor under applicable law, involve a parent or guardian and obtain any required permission. Contact us if a child has provided information without the necessary permission. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
